I painted my nails with a crazy glitter polish in honor of New Year’s eve, and now it’s a week later and I can’t get the polish off. So I’ve been walking around with sparkly nails for a week, and you know what? It’s been fun.
I haven’t been to any parties — I’ve just been to the grocery store and the library and all the other places you would expect a suburban mom of three to frequent. But I’ve received so many happy comments from the people I run into — it’s amazing how a little bit of polish can break the monotony of every day.

Between glitter polish and a streak of pink in my hair, I have this covered! But yes, you’re totally right — when I have funky nail polish, it tends to get comments and start conversations, even if I’m not actually doing anything all that interesting. Plus, it makes me smile, which is always a win!
