I love eating the same things over and over again. Most of you know that I make myself a salad for lunch almost every day. On the days when I need something more, I make myself a grilled cheese sandwich, with extra olive oil and parmesan drizzled on top. (Yum!)

I guess you could argue that this habit is boring, but I find it comforting. It saves me the hassle of figuring out what to make every day, and grocery shopping is simple — at least when I think about lunch. I’m also rarely tempted to eat fast food for lunch – why would why, when I know lunch will be ready five minutes after I walk into the house, and it will be delicious because it’s going to be exactly the way I like it.

Dinner? That’s another matter. That’s where I experiment with different recipes and food. But lunch (and breakfast, when I have time for it) are simple, repetitive affairs.

I read somewhere that Jackie Kennedy ate a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch daily (smart lady, that one) and that Jennifer Aniston ate the same salad every day while on the set of Friends. I’m sure we’re not the only ones. Tell me, do you eat something nearly every day? What is your go-to meal (it can be breakfast, lunch or dinner…I’m kind of looking for ideas!)

My recent go-to, that works for any meal: eggs scrambled w/ Braggs amino acids, black beans, salsa, cut up corn tortillas, cheese. Let it all simmer together. Top with cilantro, other veggies (sauteed kale!) of choice.
A snack I often eat: plain yogurt mixed with cut-up apple and a handful of nuts (usually walnuts or almonds, today it was sunflower seeds).
I wish I were better about eating more of the same thing, like salad, for lunch every day.

Yogurt with homemade granola for breakfast every single day. And coffee of course.
