My name is Roxanna. I'm the writer behind Miguelina and Everyday Treats. I have an unholy obsession with machine-washable dresses and wantonly ignore "dry-clean only" labels. I'm rebellious like that.

Miguelina is my personal blog. It's where I write about my life and share my opinion on just about anything. Why do I do it? Because it's a lot of fun.

Everyday Treats is my lifestyle blog. It's where I wax poetic about living with style - to me that includes fashion, beauty, decor and food.

What's my style philosophy? I guess it can be best described as a mix of luxury and everyday practicality. I wish more of us dressed to stand out rather than blend in. Wouldn't that be a much more interesting world to live in?

I've always been a writer, but that doesn't mean I always got to do it for a living. I have an MBA from the Darden School and worked as a brand manager in the beauty industry before leaving it all behind to live the glamorous life of a blogger -- and I have the cosmetics closet to prove it. I'm obsessed with skincare products, but you can read more about that on Everyday Treats.

I've lived in the Dominican Republic, Spain and pretty much in or near every major city on the east coast of the United States. I now live in Boston with my husband and our two sons. That means I'm always shopping for boots and coats. It's a tough life, really.
