My favorite sentence [fragment] from Jean-Claude Ellena's Perfume:
...between their hands, perfume becomes a fashion accessory, an imponderable and indispensable flourish, the most essential of inessentials...

I love that description of perfume; I don't need it, but I love it. Of all the frivolous things to pamper myself with, it's the one that is most personal to me.
